Commercial Building Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV)

Industrial Building

City Energy Facilities can support your design phase aspirations for commercial BIPV integration. We can collaborate with your team early in the design with our experience to ensure the correct solar panel solution is discussed and potential mounting methodology is fully understood to allow for informed development of ideas, solutions, and produce robust results for when design is finally realised with construction team.

As a company we can design and install fully bespoke mounting systems to interface with your structural designs requirements for BIPV solar installations to buildings and structures when designs do not support the use of standard solar panels assembled to proprietary solar mounting systems in traditional formats and arrangements.

Defining your artistic impression and expressive choice in modern building architecture.

The ability to support bespoke mounting systems and structures gives significant design flexibility for building integrated aesthetics.

Building Integrated Photovoltaics are photovoltaic materials that are used to replace, or like facades, cover conventional building materials in parts of the structure, and in many cases to be part of the principal or ancillary source of electrical power for the building.

Although existing buildings may be retrofitted with similar technology. The advantage of integrated photovoltaics over more common non-integrated systems is that the initial cost can be, offset by reducing the amount spent on building materials and labour that would normally, be used to construct the part of the building that the BIPV modules replace. In addition, BIPV allows for more widespread solar adoption when the building's aesthetics matter and traditional rack-mounted solar panels would disrupt the intended look of the building.

The economic benefits are real, easily measured and unique to the BIPV approach of building design and architecture. Only the integration and maximising of space for power generation through solar can make that claim, in comparison to inanimate building material structures. BIPV and building performance concepts are only limited by imaginative design concepts and innovative applications of today’s solar products.

Solar Panels

Commercial solar panels harness the sun’s rays, converting the energy for immediate use in your building or storing it for future use. By opting for solar panels for commercial buildings, you ensure a reliable and eco-friendly energy source.
